Bookings: best practices
When to use this
- You need a guest link for an upcoming stay.
- You want to add dates and a name without editing the property itself.
Steps
- Open Bookings in the host app and use New booking, or open the property and use its Bookings panel—both create a stay on that property.
- Enter check-in and check-out dates. Checkout must be after check-in. Active stays on the same property cannot overlap; same-day checkout and next-day check-in on the same calendar day is allowed.
- Add the guest name (optional but helps you recognize the stay). Leave the access code blank to let Staysy generate one, or set a custom code if your workflow needs it.
- Submit the form. On success, use Share guest link on the booking row (or the property bookings list) and send it through your channel (email, OTA message, SMS).
- If you see an overlap error, adjust dates or end the conflicting booking first.
- To end access early, revoke the booking; guests then see a “stay ended” style message.
