How to create a digital guide for your vacation rental

A digital guide for your vacation rental is a single web link guests open on their phone with check-in steps, WiFi, house rules, local recommendations, and emergency contacts. You set it up once in Staysy per property, add a booking with dates (or sync your listing’s calendar), and share the guest link after confirmation. Guests do not download an app.

When to use this

  • You are replacing a PDF welcome book or scattered message templates.
  • You want a repeatable digital guide you send with every new reservation.

Steps

  1. In Properties, tap New property. Setup takes five short screens: the address (it sets the time zone), a great photo, how guests get in (Smart lock, Key box or Meet the host), a few quick ones (parking, smoking, checkout tasks, pets) and a last screen. Skip anything you do not know yet.
  2. Already have a property on Staysy? On the address screen, under Another place?, pick it and tick what to copy: contacts and emergency numbers, checkout tasks and house rules, highlights if the new place is in the same city, and Wi-Fi and door codes (off by default). Bookings and photos are never copied.
  3. On the last screen, tap a kind of place nearby (Coffee, Dinner, Beach and more) and keep the ones you would tell a friend about. You can also do this later on the property page.
  4. Open the property and work down its list of guide items: photos, name and address, getting here, check-in, Wi-Fi, places, contacts and checkout. Changes save on their own, and “Your guide is N% ready” shows what guests still miss. Wi-Fi and appliances, garbage and recycling, pets and places are optional: turn them on with Add section to property.
  5. Add photos to the gallery and to the cards where they save questions (door, parking spot, appliances), so the guide feels personal on mobile.
  6. Add a booking in Bookings (the New booking card books the next free week or weekend in one tap), or, on Pro and Custom, connect your listing’s calendar under Share links → Sync bookings. Then share the guest link.
  7. Before the guest arrives, open the guide yourself: Preview on the property page, or Preview as guest on the booking.
